Beaded Bezel Pin/Pendant: Expand your jewelry making options by learning how to make unique cabochon pins and pendants. Cabochons are simply stones/gems with flat backs and smooth (usually unfaceted) surfaces. When surrounded by a peyote stitched seed bead bezel they become beautiful one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces. Prior knowledge of basic peyote stitch recommended.
Brick Stitch V-Style Necklace: Brick stitch is similar in appearance to the peyote stitch in that the beads are woven together in a brick wall pattern. The construction of this stitch however is entirely different. In addition, the bead holes run lengthwise up and down the piece instead of crosswise as in the peyote stitch. This change in direction adds to your design options. Come join this class and learn this stitch as you incorporate it into a sleek looking V-style necklace. This is an intermediate level class. Participants should have woven seed bead stitch experience prior to taking this class.

In our new Seed Bead Sampler Series of classes, we'll show you just the basics, i.e. "just the stitch" and how to add/secure thread. You'll leave class with a sample swatch of the stitch taught in class.
The five stitches that we will cover are: peyote stitch, brick stitch, square stitch, herringbone weave and right angle weave. Each session will focus on one stitch.

Seed Bead Sampler Series
Basic Peyote Stitch: This is the first in a series of five basic woven seed bead stitch classes. Peyote stitch is used in a multitude of projects that are offered in classes, books, magazines and on-line. You will create an even count peyote stitch swatch in a solid color. Join us and learn how to do this brick wall style stitch.
(Note: The swatch pictured on the website uses two colors to create a pattern. We will not be covering patterns during this session. A patterened swatch is pictured to show you the possibilities with this simple stitch.)
Beginner Right Angle Weave: There are so many patterns that call for the use of right angle weave. The stitch itself opens up a multitude of design possibilities. At the same time, many beaders are intimidated by the stitch. In this class, we'll break it down for you. Once you get the "swing of it", you'll see how easy it is. Participants will create a bracelet in this class.

Spiral Chain Necklace: In this workshop, you will learn the technique for creating a simple yet intricate looking spiral chain necklace. This chain is great for incorporating into necklaces, bracelets, badge lanyards and purse handle designs.

Woven Scroll Bracelet: Also known as a "figure eight" this interwoven scroll-work design makes a beautiful bracelet or watchband. In this class, participants will create a bracelet. Students will be provided with finishing instructions in the event that they are unable to complete this project during class.
Seed Bead Medallion Pendant: In this workshop, you will learn how to create a beautiful seed bead medallion pendant. You will create the center medallion of this piece in your choice of colors.

Basic Peyote Stitch Bracelet: Ready to get started with seed bead weaving? Peyote stitch is a great place to start as it is the basis for many woven seed bead projects. Learn the basic peyote stitch as you create a simple even count peyote band bracelet with spiral edging detail. We will also cover the basics of seed bead sizing/materials and thread.
Crystal Cross Pendant: This is truly a unique cross pendant...created with a beautiful filigree and crystal bead that's surrounded by more sparkling crystals. Make this for yourself, your mom or your best friend. Finished dimensions are 1 3/4" x 1".
Encircle Bracelet: Join us for this class and create a bracelet that "encircles" your wrist with sophistication. You'll create this gorgeous bracelet using a beaded netting technique. Bracelet is woven with a combination of seed beads and fire polished crystals.
Square Stitch Pendant: The square stitch weave has the look of loom woven beads but is created off loom. It's also a weave that's used in a lot of beading patterns and is therefore a great weave to have in your repertoire. Join us for this class and learn square stitch as you create this beautiful pendant.
Peyote Fringe Pendant: Participants will use the peyote stitch to create this mod pendant. Skills covered will include working a pattern into peyote stitch and creating beaded fringe. Participants should know how to create the even count flat peyote stitch prior to taking this class.
Tubular Peyote Necklace Chain: In this class, participants will learn how to make a necklace chain using the tubular peyote woven seed bead stitch. Participants will also learn how to attach a clasp. A separate class will be offered on the creation of the pendant. The pendant class will run on 2/26 (Sat) 1-4 PM.
Seed Bead Open Rounds: The open round (i.e. "O" shape) is a very useful shape when creating seed bead jewelry. It can serve as the ring portion of a toggle clasp, a cool connector between strands of beads or a pendant/earring drop. Join us and learn this wonderful technique...sure to add a multitude of variations to your designs.

Square Stitch Multi-Strand Necklace: In this workshop you will learn the square stitch weave and incorporate it into this fashion forward fringed necklace. This six strand necklace is comprised of seed beads and contains crystal bicone accents. The overall length is apx. 21" from the center back neck to the bottom of the fringe. The necklace has no clasp. It is meant to go over your head.
Basic Herringbone Weave: Herringbone weave, also known as Ndebele, has a very textural appearance as the beads are tipped left and right across each row. In this class you will learn the technique for flat herringbone weave. The weave will be incorporated into a bracelet. Seed beads are small, so if needed, please bring eyeglasses/magnifier so that you will be able to see your work.
Basket Weave Bracelet: This textural cuff is comprised of seed beads that have been woven together using a variation on the peyote stitch. The use of two different size seed beads lends to its basket weave-like appearance. Seed beads are small, so if needed, please bring magnifier/eye-glasses so you will be able to see your work.
Cellini Spiral Necklace: If you love the look of a spiral, this weave is for you. Participants will learn this weave and work it into a stunning necklace - sure to be a show-stopper. Participants must know the tubular peyote stitch to take part in this class.
Crochet Bangle: Learn to crochet with seed beads and produce a bangle-style bracelet. The bracelet will be finished with a focal bead. The techniques that you learn can be used to create necklaces as well. This class meets for two sessions.
